Hello there.
I'd appreciate any help in finding a birth or census record for Patrick Kennedy born around 1890-98. I have found his marriage to Martha Ryan 3rd Feb 1919 at Limerick Cathedral. He is recorded as a soldier of Thomondgate and his father John Kennedy, a railway worker. I though I might find a military record but the only PK I could find has a father, Patrick. I've done quite well with Martha's family so would love to find the right Patrick.
Kind regards from Lancashire

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I only located one civil birth record in Limerick city for a Patrick Kennedy with a father John. Not sure if this is your ancestor.

Thank you for looking, Roger. I did find that PK and several others with a father, John in Limerick. I discounted some as they were farmers and I was looking for someone I could connect to the railways. I was thinking trains and stations but it could conceivably be some other occupation. I have just come across this PK with a father, John who is a stone cutter. I think a stone cutter could work for the railways, don't you? The address is Shellbourne Terrace. Am I right in thinking this is in Thomondgate? This would also fit in with a military record I found for a PK living on High Road Thomondgate with a mother Margaret. The date of birth also fits in with PK's death in Birmingham. What do you think? Could this be my man?
I really appreciate you help.
Regards
Lois

I saw the 1899 record but dropped it because of the eyars you showed. Shelburne Terrace is in Thomondgate so likely you have the right Patrick.
