Located this old post on irelandxo.com from Andrea Nolan Tuesday April 12, 2016. It stated the following inquiry.

*******************************************************************************************************

My 2x ggfather came over from Ireland sometime between 1845-1850 to either New York or Pittsburgh as a stowaway on a ship out of Galway. His name is Patrick Isaac Nolan born about 1827. I'm searching for his birthday, and family in Ireland.

It's family story that he was working in the potato farm and left his family behind when the ship came in... Including a twin. Unknown if the twin was a boy or a girl.

Family story is his mothers last name was O'Malley. Also a guy he met up with either on the boat or in the United States John "Johnnie" O'Brien (O'Bryan) born about 1829, is Patrick's uncle. It is unclear if that is truth or just close family friend. Also it is unclear if Patrick really was from Galway or just a small town close.

I'm looking for the Nolan family that either lost a Patrick to running off that possibility has a twin. Or that may have outed him for some reason about 18 years old for him to jump in a ship to come to the United States.

I do not know if the parents stayed in Ireland or went someplace else.

I would love to get in touch with Andrea Nolan because I am related to the "Johnnie" O'Brien that she spoke of in her April 12,2016 post. He was my great great grandfather.

When John "Johnnie" O'Brien was born on April 1, 1829, in Cork, Cork, Ireland, his father, John, was 19. He was married four times and had eight sons and four daughters. He died on January 4, 1912, in Naylor, Georgia, having lived a long life of 82 years, and was buried in Lakeland, Georgia. He worked on the Railroad and settled in South Georgia on a farm and helped start the Catholic Church in Atkinson County

Our family story is very similar that he came over with Patrick Nolan as a stowaway on a ship out of Galway. I am trying to find more information about John "Johnnie" O'Brien (O'Bryan) born 1829 and his family over in Ireland. Johnnie O'Brien married Rachael Sirmans (Homerville, GA/mud creek area) who was a widow to Issac Carter. His friend, Patrick Nolan was younger and is buried in the Nolan Cemetery in Coffee County, GA. Not sure if they are related other than through Rachael Sirmans Carter who was his mother-in-law.
