Findmypast shows that a Patrick Toley and Margt Ryan married on 28 Jan 1832 in St Mary's Parish, Cork & Ross Diocese. I cannot seem to locate any births of children to this couple. In particular, I seek the birth of Margaret in 1833+-1. Any ideas of other places to search? Or, could the last name have been mis-transcribed in Findmypast, and it's really Foley (in which case it's not my line); I'm actually looking (I think) for a Patrick Toole and Margt Ryan, but this Toley record is so close as to be tempting to pursue. Thank you, all. Regards, Susan

Hi SRS, found the name Toley in Co Cork in the Tithes 1830s www.titheapplotment. books. nationalarchives.ie.
I also found them in The 1901 Census also in Co Cork www,censors.nationalarchives.ie.
I could not find them on Griffiths valuation 1850s www.askaboutireland.ie.
It is possible the T was enumerated as an F, I came across this in a name in my own ancestry Trehy, enumerated as Frehy.
Best of luck with your research , let me know how you get on.

Thank you, Christina. If they were in the 1901 census, then they are not the family I seek. My Tooles/Toleys had a daughter Margaret born to them +-1833 and soon after immigrated to the US. That is why I am looking for not only them but a daughter Margaret born to them to help confirm I have the right family. I guess I'll just keep looking. Thank you, again. Regards, Susan
