Looking for family history - my father travelled to Rahan twice and traced our family to what is now known as Buckies Mill - his last trip to Rahan was in 1995. Family records are in Parish church records. Am looking to find unknown name of Payne and his family history. His father's name was William Payne. My ggg grandparents were William Payne and Rebecca Whitfield from Derrycooley, Rahan, Co Offaly. Their son, John Payne emigrated to Australia in the mid 1800's. Please contact me if we share ancestors.
