Thanks...saw some reference that jeffrey was born in workhouse/ dispensary maybe?. Jeffrey married ann donovan in kilgarvan ...both of then listed as living in woodville kilgarvan( think aldworths associated with woodville)

There were 2 people of the name Peter Curran born in Kanturk in 1837 and 1838. Any idea of a family name that might indicate a father or mother? The parents of both were Peter Curran and Ellen Hussey for 1837 and Bartholomew Curran and Ellen Callahan for the second. If you let me know any further information I can investigate more.

Apologies.. I realise my initial text was misleading...it was jeffrey who was born in kanturk 1839 to 1843.... and was living in kilgarvan and married in 1865 . Peter was named as father so presumably his birth date was in the 1820s. Jeffrey s middle name was philpot and his sons were peter philpot curran died aged 9 and morgan philpot curran. His wife was ann donovan daughter of tade donovan. Not sure if geoffrey/ jeffrey was connected to john philpot curran or not. In the obituary of annie p. Curran , Jeffrey's daughter it says so. I'm wondering was Jeffrey born the workhouse in 1839 bec his father was the peter in cork gaol?
