Good morning,

I have added two attachments with information on each. Attachment (page) 153 below, O'Neill/Flavin lists my ancestors that I have been able to research and confirm through various documents. However, you will notice that the line is dashed and continues from Attachment (page) 152. Am I wrong in thinking that this implies a connection?

I have researched and collected documents on the O'Neill's from page 152 as well (just in case), however, I cannot find anything to connect Philip O'Neill Jun and Philip O'Neill/Flavin.

I have read about "cluster genealogy" and was thinging about using it with Philip O'Neill Jun. My goal would be to find a marriage for O'Neill/Flavin. Is this a method used on a regular basis? Does it generally produce results?

Your thoughts and suggestions are truly appreciated.

  • Hi

My Father's name was Patrick Flavin and his Father's name was Daniel Flavin. My Father was born in 1920, the 9th child of a family of ten children.

Daniel Flavin, my grandfather was born in Clonard (I think that is the townland) which is situated near the crossroads on the road to Redbarn strand in Youghal. The O'Briens now live in this house and are cousins of my Father.

I know that there are O'Neills in Killeagh which is about six miles from Youghal. In fact, a friend of mine is going out with a guy called Philip O'Neill.

I'm afraid that is all the information I currently have.

    Regards,

    Nuala
