Hello.
I am searching burial records for James Costello & Judith (nee Marnane) who married in Bansha/Kilmoyler Parish Co Tipperary in 1852 (17 Oct).
Also for their eldest son Patrick Costello, (my Grandfather) who married Ellen Ryan in 1896 (18 Nov). Patrick & Ellen lived most of their married life in Cordangan.
One of their son's, Paddy (Patrick) born there in 1908, perished, along with his wife, Mary (nee Walsh) at the house in Cordangan on 15 August 1990. Patrick (who was my late father John's, brother) & Mary are buried in St Michael's Church cemetery, Tipperary. So, their grave sites are known to me.
I would love to know where Patrick's father, himself named Patrick, who had married Ellen in 1896, are buried. I am almost certain that they lived out their lives at Cordangan . However I have a death certificate for a Patrick Costello that says he died on 18/02/1925 at The County Home, Cashel R D, Co Tipperary and his former residence was Bansha. He may have lived there as a child after his parent's James and Judith married.
And the same informaion regarding burials of my Great Grandparents, James & Judith, who had married in 1852.
Thank you for taking the interest to read this and I hope it now appears on the Tipperary messages, as well.

Hi,
Thank you very much for your message.
Unfortunately, it may be difficult to prove whether the Patrick in the County Home is the Patrick that you are looking for or not. Patrick?s records in the home belong to the Health Service Executive (HSE) and as they are so recent they only available if you can prove that you are family.
With regards to finding out where Patrick and his parents are buried, again it may be difficult. It may be an idea to contact the County Library in Tipperary to see if they can advise you on what graveyard transcription projects are ongoing in the area. You may be lucky and find something there:

There are also some online resources, however please note that not all of these websites are free:

Another useful site is:
I?m sorry not to be of more help, hopefully somebody with more information may also be in contact with you.
Kind regards,
