Planning to visit Kilteevan Roscommon

My wife and I are in the initial planning stage of a visit to Roscommon ( Covid permitting ) next year. Hoever I need a starting point and a base in the area.

Can you point me in the direction of a local tour guide or travel centre in the town for local tours. Can you hire a car in Roscommon Town? We are from Australia and I expect to stay in the Roscommon area for approx 3 days.

We have distant relatives in Roscommon the Brennans and the Fox (e) eg Tom Foxe Bar but I do not know them personally.

I also plan to go to the Roscommon Horse Races if that is possible too.
