Mathew Hayes . . b.1802 Tipperary .  +/- 5 years . . . Nothing . . .

again . . . I searched for the BIRTH . . of Ellen Berkey . . . b.   ???  1800 . . . Nenagh . . +/- 10+++

Next I searched for a MARRIAGE . . of BOTH . . . 1830 . . . Tipperary . . . +/- 10 years  . . and FOUND  . . (see below)

( witnesses to this marriage were . . . John Ryan and Bryan Farrell ) . .  Brides name spelling . . . is prob. a misspelling of Berkey ( this is a common Tipp. surname )

The baptisms from Aug 1797 to Feb 1809 are missing from this link https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0804 do you have any suggestions. I am sorry to be a pain but I am new at this as I am taking over from my daughter

First off . . I couldn't understand  your problem  . . . until I decided to go thru the search . . . year by year . . myself

and then I saw your problem . . . 

YES . . . the years  1997 to 1809 are missing . . . (as often happens . . . with old records )  UNFORTUNATELY . . . 

This is why . . when we search . . . Roots / Ancestry . . . we are NOT finding . . the Birth of your Mathew Hayes / Ellen Berkey  c.1802 - 1807 . . 

Sorry for your troubles  . . . BUT . . . 

I even doubt . . if the Professionels  at . . . https://www.tipperarycoco.ie/heritage/genealogy-centre can be of help to you . . as they are researching thru. same sources . .

SO . . . I wondered if any Berkey's . . . were still in the area in the Census of 1901 . . . and as you will see (above) . .  only TWO of that Surname . . John & Thomas show up . . . 

I did a little better with HAYES in 1901  (see Below)

This Mortimer (unusual Christian name) Hayes . . . may very well be . . . related . . because he shows up as a Farm-hand . . on a Farm in Pallas More  (YOUGHALARRA)
