POWER, James - Killeagh
I'm trying to find information on my 3rd gr-grandfather, James Power and his wife Catherine (surname unknown, possibly Stack).
Their daughter, my 2gr-grandmother, Catherine Power b.ca 1820, married Anthony Bishop (of Newmarket) 11 Nov 1841 at the Parish Church, Inch. I believe that would be St. Patrick RC church established 1837.
Witnesses were: James Power and Frances Stack.
Note: Catherine & Anthony's 1st child, Catherine, was born 1843 in Inch. Sponsors were: Maurice Coleman & Frances Stack. The Priest was M. Power.
The only James Power that I've found in Killeagh is in the following records:
- 1831 Tithe Defaulters list, Ballincarrigina
- 1841 Tithe Applotment book, Ballincarrigina
- 1851 Tithe Applotment book, Ballincarrigina
I haven't been able to find any other information on James in Killeagh Parish.
I expect that James would be born in late 1700s:

I've also searched Ancstry.com, Findmypast.com, Familyseach.org - haven't found him there either.
