My greatgrandfather was born in or near Charleville, Limerick about 1838.  His name is Thomas Rea he married Anne Lynch and had  many children.  It is said they owned a public house called Shamrock in Charleville.  I am visiting Ireland in mid September, and writing a book for our family on our ancestors.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

    I looked at the 1901 census for Charleville, Co. Cork which is in Rathgoggan civil parish. I could not find anyone named Rea. I looked at the 1911 census and found a Daniel Rea with his family living in Rathgoggan South townland probably outside the town of Charleville. Daniel was a blacksmith and his mother Mary was living in his house. See below.
