One of George's daughters Christina married James Cumine Parkinson in Hobart c.1866.  He was late of Armagh County and was a prolific letter writer to his Mother. In one of his letters dated 15 Feb 1867 he describes Coates relatives of his wife.

Thomas HARRIS, of Sydney, Mrs WILCOX of London, Dr COATES in Dublin, Uncle COATES in London (previously described as Luke).

Also in letter 229 to his Mother, he mentions BLAKE in the west of Ireland.
