Hi, I am trying to find out more about my ancestors.
The Roach or Roche family from Cork.
Patrick Roach/Roche (not 100% certain if his name was Patrick) I believe married Julia (nee Cronin) in the early 1800's, sorry I do not know of their marriage date or where they were married.
The parents of Julia were Patrick and Julia Cronin and they married in 1785 in Queenstown.
One of the children of Patrick and Julia Roach or Roche was James and he married a maori woman in New Zealand Maria (Mere)
I did see a post once on here to do with some of the Roach family from Cork born at around the same time as what I have but I can no longer find the information.
Hope someone can assist
Nga mihi

Welcome back to Ireland Reaching Out!
I was unable to locate a potential Roche/Cronin marriage record back to the early part of the 1800s. I located a James Roche baptismal record in 1817 in Iveleary parish on the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie. No name for the Roche father and the mother was showwn as Julian Cronin. There is a link to the parish register in the record below. Check it out to see if a given name is shown for the father.
If you go to the search bar on the main message board, you can enter Roche and get all messages with Roche then enter Roach and get the Roach messages.
