Would love to know where Robert and his wife Rebecca (Armstrong) lived/worked in County Tyrone before they emigrated to Australia in 1838. H was a farmer and she was a house servant according to the immigration lists. They came out on the barque Amelia Thompson from Glasgow and arrived on 29th September 1839 with two of their eleven children. It was a three months journey. The rest being born there. Theyand settled in Wingham NSW. They were my great, great, grandparents. The Wingham area of NSW has many descendants from Robert and Rebecca. Hoping to visit there once covid has settled down.

William Thomas Henry Summerville was born in 1824, at birth place , to Robert Andrew Summerville and Rebecca Summerville (born Armstrong) .
Robert was born on July 13 1783, in Fintona, County Tyrone, Ireland.
Rebecca was born in 1788, in Fintona. Tyrone. Norther Ireland.
William had 12 siblings: James Summerville , Margaret Moore (born Summerville) and 10 other siblings (varying numers on how many children...I have read it was eleven).
William married Barbara Ann Sommerville (born Donkin) in 1856, at age 32.
Barbara was born on January 24 1834, in Great Tossan England UK.
They had 7 children: Jane Hope Somerville , Robert James Somerville and 5 other children .
One of these five was my Grandfather John Alexander Sumnerville
His occupation was a pineapple farmer at Kandanga, outside Gympie, Qld. I did hear he was once a police officer in NSW but have been unable to verify that. He had five daughters and two sons. My mother was Gladys Victoria Summerville
William passed away on month day 1909, at age 85 in Winghamn NSW
He was buried at Wingham Cemetary

Statutory birth, death and marriage registration (in some jurisdictions called Vital Records) only started in Ireland in 1864, save for non RC marriages which were recorded from 1845 onwards. So you probably won’t find statutory birth, death or marriage certificates in Ireland for this family. For earlier years you usually need to rely on church records, where they exist. Ideally you need to know the precise denomination and have some idea of where the person was born in order to search the correct records. Not all churches have records for that period and not all are on-line.
RC records are mostly on-line on the nli site:

For other denominations, the churches usually hold the originals but there are also copies in PRONI, the public record office, in Belfast. A personal visit is required to access them. Access to the records there is free. This link explains what records exist, parish by parish:

I am Robert Watt born in Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland in 1941, In the late 1940s and early 1950s I went to Crossdernot school with a family of Somervilles, One was a Robert Somerville born about 1944, They lived at Munderrydoe, Pomeroy, Co. Tyrone, This family all went to Australia in about 1959 / 60, I am in email contact with Robert Somerville, Do you know any more details as to where your Somerville family lived in Co. Tyrone?
