I have just discovered that my 3 x gg grandfather Robert Britton came from Donegal, circa 1793 ish. He was a hand loom weaver, presbyterian, and was married to Elizabeth Porter between 1810-30. His daughter Jane/Jean Britton (my 2 x g grandmother) was born circa 1823, possibly in Paisley. He remarried in 1830 to Agnes McMillan also in Paisley. His parents were Robert Britton & Dorcas ? Hill.
He died in 1859 in Paisley, Scotland.
Can anyone help me find out where in Donegal he came from ?
