Thank you. I have some information on the children who emigrated to the US - Michael, John, & Nicholas. I have marriage info on Honora, who married in Vermont, USA, but could not trace her after that. Would like any info on other Baker children (and descendants) who remained in Kerry, and/or on Johanna Griffin who married Michael Baker. They are my ggrandparents.
Your help is much appreciated!

Hi Connie,
Thank you for your message.
You do not mention any dates in your message so it is hard to know what time frame you are looking at. I will give some possible places where you can look here, and hopefully they will be relevant.
Church Records
Irish Genealogy have begun a project where they are uploading church records to their website free of charge. Only a small number of counties have been completed so far but Kerry is one of them. You can search these records here:
http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/
Another useful website with regard to Catholic records is the Irish TImes. Here they give an ovrview of what records are available in specific parishes. For Kilmalkeder parish follow this link:
Civil Records:
Civil registration began in Ireland in 1864 so any births, deaths or marriages in the family after this date would be recorded in these records. Civil records are available from the General Register?s Office in Dublin. Here is their website:
http://www.groireland.ie/research.htm
You can search the indexes to these records online at:
https://familysearch.org/search/collection/1408347
Census Records:
The 1901/1911 census records are available online and can give lots of useful information:

Land Records:
There are two land records available for Ireland in the 19th century:
The Tithe Applotment Books (1823-1838) found at http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/search/tab/home.jsp
and Griffith?s Valuation (1848-1864) found at http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/
Some other websites that you may find useful are:
The National Archives of Ireland http://www.nationalarchives.ie/genealogy1/genealogy-records/introduction/
The National Library of Ireland http://www.nli.ie/en/family-history-introduction.aspx
Genealogy links: http://www.genealogylinks.net/uk/ireland/kerry/index.html
Family Search: www.familysearch.org
I hope this is helpful!
All the best,
