This headstone was uncovered under the birck floor of St. Augustine Chapel, South Boston, MA in 2021 during restoration work. James was buried in 1842 in the cemetery grounds outside the chapel and another stone is at his grave. This stone was uncovered on the day of his death in 2021, while the masons were replacing the brick floor. The stone was bought by his brother Timothy.

So it would appear he was born in Cappawhite circa 1807, Records for Cappawhite very good and we could
find a sibling I know this area well, and would be happy to help you find more material if you would like me to.
