The subscription site Roots Ireland has a February 16 1850 baptismal record for an Owen Victory with father Owen Victory and mother Mary Gilligan. The RC parish was Collinstown. This Owen had the following siblings: Mary 1842 William 1847 Margaret 1849 John 1853
Owen Victory and Mary Gilligan married July 19 1839 in Collinstown.
There is a January 7 1855 baptismal record for a Thomas Scannell father John Scannell and mother Hannah Creedon. The baptism was in the Cork South parish (St. Finbar's). John and Hannah married February 18 1854 in the same church. There was also a Patrick Scannell baptized March 15 1857 and a Margaret Scannell baptized December 19 1857

Hello again Roger, The info that I have about the Victory family has them in Mullingar, Wesrmeath. Where Mary and her brother William were born.
You are correct about John Scannell and Hanna Creedon, however I can't seem to find out anything more about them, like where and when they were born and died.
All I know is he, like his grandson John, was also a ship's carpenter.
If you could find out anything more, it would be most appreciated
Thank you
Bart

I searched the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie hoping to locate a baptismal record for either John Scannell or Hannah Creedon. I searched from 1820-1837 and did not find a record. The Cork South parish has records back to the late 1700s so they were likely baptized in a parish which does not have records back to the 1820-1837 period.
