Seeking information on 3rd Great-grandparents Patrick Scott b.1813 possibly in County Mayo d.1873 Johnstown, Pennsylvania, USA and his wife Bridget Langhan b.Jan 1809 Ireland d.9Aug1901 Johnstown, Pa, USA.  One of their sons, Matthew (my 2nd greatgrandfather) was born 1Aug1842 County Mayo, Ireland d.7Oct1918 after and extended illness in a Pittsburgh, Pa hospital.  Matthew Scott was a resident of Johnstown, Pa before his illness.  Below are the obituaries of Bridget Scott and son Matthew from the Johnstown, Pa newspaper.

Obituary The Daily Tribune, Johnstown Saturday August 10, 1901:

Mrs Bridget Scott

The subject of this sketch died at the home of her son Patrick Scott on the Ebensburg Road, Twelfth Ward at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon, the cause of her demise being general debility.Mrs Scott, whose maiden name was Bridget Langhan, was born in Ireland in January 1809. She was married in Ireland during the "Night of the High Wind" in the '30's and in 1845 crossed the Atlantic Ocean with her husband and located in Montreal, Canada. There Mr. and Mrs. Scott resided for eight years, when they moved to Mt. Savage, Md., and lived there until 1861, the year they came to Johnstown, their son Matthew having preceded them here.Patrick Scott, Sr. was employed in the Cambria Yard for a long time. He died on New street, Twelfth Ward, in 1873 and the subject of this notice has since made her home with her sons. The remains of Patrick Scott were interred in the St. John's graveyard in the Tenth Ward.Four children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Scott, one of whom -Mary- died in infancy. Those surviving are Matthew, of No. 169 New street; Patrick with whom the deceased had made her home for some time;and William, a veteran of the Civil War, who lives with his brother Patrick.Mrs. Scott was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church. The funeral will take place at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from St. John's Church on Clinton street, where the services will be conducted by the Very Rev. John Boyle. Interment will be made in the church cemetery in Geistown.

Matthew J. Scott

Matthew John Scott, for many years an employee in the Cambria Mills died yesterday morningin a Pittsburgh hospital where he had been a patient for some years. The deceased was born in Ireland on August 1, 1842, being a son of Patrick and Bridget Scott. The Scott family landed in America in 1845 and located in Canada. Thirteen years later they came to Johnstown and located in Prospect Borough. Patrick Scott died here in 1880 and his widow in 1901 at the age of 93 years. Matthew Scott was married twice, the first time to Catherine Martin and the second time to Sarah E. Stewart. His first wife died in Hollidaysburg in 1882. He is survived by his second wife, four children, Thomas , of the Ebensburg road; Frances, wife of Richard Goodman, of Buffalo, and Andrew and James Scott of 13 Osborne street Eighth Ward, together with 11 grandchildren, one of whom , Roger M. Scott is in France with the American Expeditionary Forces. The body is expected to arrive in Johnstown tonight. Funeral services will probably by held on Thursday morning, with burial in the Geistown Cemetery. Matthew John Scott was a member of St. John's Catholic Church.
