Searching for ancestry

The Griffths Valuation survey was conducted in Ireland from 1848-1864. They survey group moved from county to county until they completed the project. A head of household listing was one of the products of the survey and I looked for the name Stephen Denihan. Below are the four closest matches. Assuming your Stephen did not die young, he may be one of the four listed nelow. You can go to www.irishgenealogy.ie to search for Co. Kerry church records.

The Stephen Denehan listed for Ballyhagan and Kinnafad is the same person - he is my great great grandfatehr and is not the person jeg is looking for as this Co Offaly Stephen Denehan was married to Mary Hill. He died in 1866.

I realize this is an old post however, I just came across it as I am searching my family history. My great grandparents are Patrick Denihan and Rose Morgan. One of thier sons, John Francis

is my grandfather. So we are distant cousins. I'm not sure if you will ever see this post but I'm looking forward to seeing if you do.

Thank you for the info from 1913.  I think I am able to identify Patrick Denihan from baptism records 1838 in Ballylongford, Kerry.

Thank you Roger  I do have his baptismal record.  Do you have any further information about Patrick or his family?
