Is the attached record of the baptism of John Barnes in 1842 your relative?

  • Church record not attached, due to the size of the document.

A James Barnes recorded as a complainant in the Petty session court in Virginia in 1838.

    No property record found for a James Barnes in County Cavan - Tithe Records - 1823 - 1837 or Griffith's Valuations - 1840's - 1860's

  • McCoy,

Thank you very much I did not see these post. Yes John Baptized in 1842 I believe is my great grand father, with James Barnes and Margt. McGuire being his parents. I have a John in the the US census records of 1870 in NYC USA but I have not found his immigration records of records to verify they are one in the same. My only indication is the people from the baptism names shown up again in the records. John also married Eliza. Fagan and I come up with not much more when I search for her.  Thank you so much for your help.
