We have several ancestors who immigrated to the United States. I have taken upon myself to find out more and learn where they came from. We have an Allen from Ulster, Connor or O'Connor from Limerick, Murphy from Cork, Foster from Cork but we don't have the parish names. Kenaley (Kennealy) we know came over from Ireland and are my closest Irish connection. Michael Kenaley war born in Canada 04/07/1849. We know his Mother and Father were from Ireland. But not sure if we have the right ones. John c. Kennealey or Kenaley 1825-1874 married to Mary ( Dorney?) Kenaley 1825-1907. Very confusing last name because of the variations of spellings.
Any help would be appreciated.

The subscription site Roots Ireland has a February 20 1849 marriage in the Kilworth RC parish in Co. Cork. The couple was John Kennealy and Mary Dorney. The witnesses were Patrick Dorney and Johanna Dorney. No townland shown. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kilworth
I did not find any baptismal records for children of this couple.

Kilworth baptismal records start in September 1829 https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0072 We don't know the ages of the couple when they married but I did not find a baptismal record for either in Kilworh parish on the subscription site Roots Ireland.

The Griffiths Valuation survey in Co. Cork was completed in 1852. A head of household listing was generated by civil parish. There are four civil parishes where the residents would have attended Kilworth RC parish. The parishes were Kilworth, Macroney, Leitrim and Kilcrumper. I looked at the Griffiths listings for the four civil parishes which are shown below and it is likely that Mary Dorney came from Macroney civil parish. Possibly her townland was Killeragh East and possibly her father was either Denis or Patrick.
The Kenneally family is more complex. There are Kenneally households in Kilworh, Macroney and Leitrim civil parishes.
