My 2nd great grandfather, Nicholas Curry, was born 13 Oct 1825 in Gortnahoe to Patrick Curry & Mary Cormick.  I am search for any information regarding Patrick Curry & Maryu Cormick.  The only information I have is they were married on 21 Feb 1819 in Ballingarry.

  • Hi Mike, In the Tithe records there are 2 Patrick Curry in County Tipperary.  see the link below.
    Gortnahoe, the nearest big town is Thurles. If you search mapsby the 2 Parish names stated you will see they are near to Thurles.
    So it's one of these 2.
    Civil records were introduced in 1864, so death records before then are few.
    I would say it's the one near to Crohane as they married in Ballingarry.
    Have a good look on the maps.
