My Ancestor Thomas McPhillips b. abt. 1800 and wife, Catherine (Sullivan) his son, Thomas,b.1834, and three daughters; Catherine b1837, Rose, b1840 and Margaret b1843 came to Lafayette, Wisconsin, USA in 1856. Family is absolute on the County being Monaghan. There were three Thomas McPhillips listed in Monaghan in the Griffiths. One was Skeskin, Tedavnet parish, another in Latnamard, Agahbog parish seems to have stayed and been buried there. The third is in Dyan, Ematris parish. I have been getting DNA matches near the northern area. If I knew when the Griffiths was taken in Tedavnet, that would be helpful, then I would know if it was before or after My ancestor arrived here. I came to Monaghan in 2012 but didn't make it up to that area. I live in Washington state in the US. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Dona McPhillips

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
The Griffiths Valuation survey in Co. Monaghan was conducted in 1860-1861.
I checked the subscription site Roots Ireland and did not find baptismal records for the four children and also did not find a marriage record.
