Hi! Seeking information for Edmund Barry and/or Mary White. They had a child in Maryland USA in 1900. Her name was Margaret Helen Barry...my grandmother. She was raised in an orphanage in Maryland...assuming it was a Catholic one. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

Hi Katie,
You should get a copy of your grandmother's birth, marriage and death records which should show her parents names. The 1900 Federal Census should show where they were born.

Thanks! Unfortunately I have not been able to locate her birth records OR her name on any census. The only thing I was able to find was her marriage license which is how I obtained her parents names. I have written to the Roman Catholic archdiocese in Baltimore with hopes they can help me. Since she was an orphan I am assuming they have her records held up. It's odd I cannot locate her or either of her parents on any censuses. I was able to find several Barry's buried in Elkhart MD...which is where her marriage license records her as being born, although no Edmund or Mary White to be found. :( At least that's is a start though.
