The next four children born in Massachussetts, USA. About 1843 they settled in Galena, Illinois, USA. John Quirk died in 1853, Illinios, USA, Johanna Courtney Quirk died 1898 in Illinios.
Children,
Mary Ann, Thomas, John Albert, Elizabeth, James, Francis, Daniel, Anna or Hannora, and Johanna.

Ballybeggan is a townland in the Civil Parish of Ratass and there are 2 Quirks listed there as of 1853
The area comprised 254 acres

Ballybeggan is now part of Tralee town.
What document gave you the townland of Ballybeggan? If I know that I might be able to help you more. The online birth and marriage records are not giving me anything just yet. However a search for Courtney keeps throwing up Cournane as an alternate spelling.
