I mayhave erred when writing my first message.  John Widdes daughter, Elizabeth Widdows married Francis Johnston (Johnstone).  They came to Australia 1839.  Elizabeth is noted as being the daughter of John Widdes and Mary Widden (his wife).  John Widdes was an OP in the 7th Dragoons.

I believe Francis & Elizabeth's eldest daughter (Mary, born 1819) married Richard Kerr in Ireland, and didn't come to Australia with her parents. Mary Kerr possibly died 1872 Lisnaskea, Ireland.

If this is correct, Richard and Elizabeth Kerr were the parents of Elizabeth Kerr who married Patrick McGrath  Elizabeth & Patrick were natives of Derrybullen, Enniskillen, Ireland.  They arrived in Australia in 1862 with their five children.

I can't find their wedding date or other information for the McGrath family in Ireland.

I am interested in the Widdes or Widdows family, it is an unusual name.
