Seeking birthplace, parents, any other data about JAMES GRIER. Born circa 1818 in Ulster, but precise location (parish, townland) still unknown. A carriagemaker, he emigrated to Lanark county, Upper Canada, likely 1830s. Married at Perth, Lanark Co. 1844. He was Church of Ireland (Anglican). Much known of his life in Canada, but the above is all known of his origin. He only reported his borthplace as "Northern Ireland".
