Hello:
Mary Sharp (born c1803) of County Donegal married Neil Ward (born c1804) of County Roscommon. With son, John Ward (born 1832), the family left Ireland about 1833 and came to Upper Canada.

Hi Bob,
Thanks for your message.
Do you have anymore information that you can post on Mary or Neil? Do you know what parish in Donegal they came from? Do you know their religious denomination? These are important in determining which records are relevant to your search.
Do you know much about their emigration, for example where they entered Canada? More information was generally given at the port of arrival, so hopefully you may be able to find a placename if you look in to this. Here is the link for the National Library and Archives of Canada, which is a good place to find immigration information:

Other websites which may help you are:
The National Archives of Ireland http://www.nationalarchives.ie/genealogy1/genealogy-records/introduction/
The National Library of Ireland http://www.nli.ie/en/family-history-introduction.aspx
The National Archives UK ? genealogy search: http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/records/looking-for-person/
The Public Records Office of Northern Ireland http://www.proni.gov.uk/index/family_history.htm
Perhaps you should also post this message on the Co. Donegal page and hopefully someone there may recognise the names.
Remember to post as much information as you can with regard to the people you are researching. The more information you post, the more likely it is that one of our volunteers will be able to advise or assist you. Also include information concerning which sources you may have already used so others may further your search.
Kind regards,
