He was born in county Waterford Ireland in 1926. He is the son of my great uncle James Kavanagh. My grandfather John Cavanaugh changed the spelling when he came to the states from Kavanagh to Cavanagh. Would love to hear from anyone.

Edward:
We only have access to images of civil births thru 1920 due to privacy rules. I did see an index record of the Sidney McHugh birth in 1934. Her mother's surname was Keane. The Castlebar on the record refers to the registration district of Castlebar which encompasses about ten different civil parishes. So Sidney may not have been born in the town of Castlebar.
I did see a 1927 marriage of a Richard McHugh to an Anne Keane and i'm wondering if this couple were the parents of Sidney?
I assume her marriage was in England?

Thank you Roger. I am going to say yes the were married in England. I am hitting a dead end with regards to any family of Emon Kavanagh. No one knows where any of James Kavanagh from Ballyedock Campile are or any children. I have asked my family down there but with regards to Emon no one know but I thank you for your massage.

There’s a record of a marriage between Edward J Kavanagh & Sidney M B McHugh. They were married in Hammersmith, London. (The details are Oct – Dec 1956, Volume 5c, page 1320). That marriage certificate should give you Sidney’s father’s name and occupation. (Edward is simply the anglicised version of Eamon, but I am sure you probably knew that anyway).
They appear to have had at least one child. Mark Anthony Kavanagh born 12.10.1962 who died in Merton, south London in 2000, aged 37. (Register B43, dist 2441, entry 120). His death certificate should tell you whether he ever married. And the informant might be a relative too.
You will need to order a copy of both certificates to get the relevant information. You can order them from the GRO in Southport, Lancs.

Eamon left a will in the UK, when he died on 10.2.1995. Probate was granted in June 1995 at Ipswich. You can order a copy from the UK wills site for £1.50 (sterling). That will may tell you about any other family he had.
