Do you have any information on SImon and Jane's emigration? Generally more information was given at the port of entry rather than departure. If you knew which city they arrived at (eg. Liverpool), this could be a good place to find more information-and perhaps you can find out an exact place of origin.

The UK National Archives may be of some help to you. You can do a search of immigrants into the UK at the following link:

The more information you post, the more likely it is that one of our volunteers will be able to advise or assist you.
