I am looking for further information on Sophia Baldwin married May 6 1822 eldest dau. of Corliss B. Baldwin of Tullyglass. I have her marrying Samuel Fowkes, Esq. at St. Nicolas. It is in the Casey vol. 4. I also found in the Listmore Castle papers collection no. 129, p. 312, 438 Bandon:Kilbrogan letters concerning the lands and holdings at Tullyglass. So they were still there after marriage. I have Lawrence Fowke, Constable (1823), Sarah Francis Fowkes (1826), Francis Mary Fowkes(1828), Eliza Baldwin Fowkes(1829), William Henry Fowkes(1836). They are all in Kilbrogan and found on the Bandon genealogy site listing births to sophia/samuel. Any further information as to the parents of Sophia Baldwin and Corliss or Samuel Fowkes would be appreciated. I don't have any information on Francis Mary Fowkes. Everyone else has been found and eventually turned up in San Francisco, CA by 1900.

Hi.
Using Historicgraves.com, I can see that some Baldwins were buried in Bandon in the early - mid-1800s. Here are the links to the website search for Baldwin

And here is a link to a grave of Mary Anne Balwin, died 1813. Perhaps it would help to cross check ths name with your research to see might this be a relative of one of your people of interest. MaryAnn was only 14 when she died but her mother, Ann Baldwin, could also be a relative.

I hope this helps!
