1841 census for Sorbie Wigtownshire has Cristofer 50,Mary 45,Cristofer 15,Henry 13,John 9,& Mary7 Steel all born Ireland. 1851 identifies Mary & Christopher as man & wife & Christopher as son. Other members have vanished. When Christopher sen & Mary die, in 1856 & 1871, their death certificates, unusually for Scotland, give no details of parentage.
Anyone any ideas of county of origin...........I have tried IFHF. rootsireland.ie
