Looking for information on Stephen O'Brien, born to Michael O'Brien and Alice McCarroll in County Monaghan approximately May of 1855. Stephen left Ireland and ended up in Rhode Island where he married Annie McEntee in October 1894. I am looking for any information on his parents and his birth. I would love to know if his parents also came to America and if there are any desendents left in Ireland.

I presume your family was RC.
I searched on two subscription sites (Roots Ireland and FindMyPast) and did not find a baptismal record for your Stephen O'Brien. Likely he was baptized in a church that no longer has records back to 1855. I also did not find any baptismal records for other children to Michael and Alice.
