  • Stewart & Morrow are both very common names in Co. Down. (There are over 1700 Stewart and 800 Morrows in the county in the 1901 census). You need to narrow the search a bit. Can you be a bit more specific about who you are looking for links to? For example, can you name relatives who lived in Ireland, when did they leave, what age & denomination were they and what were their occupations?

  • As previous responder states Morrow & Stewart surnames are relatively common in Down, e.g. my great-great-grandparemts were a John Morrow & Margaret Stewart from Ballymorran near Killinchy.  There was a family of Morrows in Killyleagh to whom we have 'property' links.  Could you list other names in your family history that might help identify the branches of Morrows & Stewarts you are interested in.
