I am trying to determine whether the Thomas Costello, Baptized on 22 April 1833 at Shanagolden Parish, is my Great Grandfather. His Baptism shows his parents as Thomas and Margaret (Madagan) Costelloe of Tinnakilla, County Limerick. I am trying to determine whether his son Thomas migrated to Canada about early 1850s. These parents birthed 10 children, all Baptized at Shanagolden. Family stories have three of the sons (including Thomas) migrating together and Thomas and two other of the older brothers do not show in later records, the property owned by the father eventually passes to the youngest son Denis.
The father was a co-resident with an elder Denis (maybe related) on Lot #7 of Tinnakila prior to 1858, at which time Thomas becomes immediate lessor. By 1863 Margaret Costelloe is the lessor of Lot #7. Meanwhile Lot #6 is divided with 2 pieces being occupied by a Michael Costelloe and a Mary Costelloe (Michael being immediate lessor). These occupants could be relatives diue to proximity. By 1878 Denis assumes residency on Lot #7 and is apparently the youngest son in this family. Also, we now have a Patrick Costelloe occupying Lots #1 & #2 here in Tinnakilla. By 1909 Denis purchases Lot #7 and then later sells it to a John D. Costelloe in 1934 John Costelloe of Tinnakilla dies on 24 Jan 1961 survived by sisters & nieces and nephews. Patrick Costelloe now owns all of Lot #6. In 1959 Lot #7 was owned by a Denis O'Farrell (possibly a spouse of one of John D.'s sisters) and this is the last recorded change in the Valuation Books. At this time, Patrick Costelloe is selling many pieces of Lot #6.
I am trying to reach any direct descendant of these Thomas Costelloes, or a Historian/Genealogist/anyone or Society to help with any information on this Costelloe family and where they might be now. I am posting this here in the hope that someone might know of such help; and evrything/anything would be appreciated. THANKS, david costello

Thank you for sharing your insight and this information. I am unfamiliar with these records but am now trying to use all of them.
I believe your ruler slipped on Margaret page, she is #174 and you gave me details on #178. She could possibly be the mother (Margaret Madagan) of the Thomas I'm looking for. The details from this page are close = being born 1801 died 1887 at age 86 and was widow of a John (looks like that to me, but her husband was also a Thomas?). Her son Denis takes over the property that she controlled in 1878 with her still alive but age 77??
I found these censuses fascinating; they could likely be the above Denis and his family. Do you know what the "11 in 1901 and 21 in 1911" signify?? Can these be related to Lot numbers??

Oh, sorry, I should have explained.
When the Census was listed, it's just the number of the house, not an actual identifiable house number, but it was as the people went down the road, number 1 house on the left and number 2 house on the right. etc.
Where you live can you see you dwelling on line with the google street map?
The van went along on photographed each house, then is you use your Zip Code, or post code, you can nearly get to your property.
Well it's a bit like that.
On the first sceen where it shows a pink background, when you look down at Household Return form A.....click in and you see the actual return Doc.
Further down where you see House and Building return form B, look for your house number and it may say nect to the Church next to a shop or nect to a school.
17 households per page.
Sadly yours are all private dwellings, can identify the house.
