Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I checked the subscription site Roots Ireland and below is a transcription of the 1843 baptismal record for John. In searching for baptismal records, there were apparently two separate Thomas Delaney/Mary Brennan couples in Co. Kilkenny in the 1840s. The first was married in 1840 in Muckalee and the second was married in 1842 in Clough. See below.
I located the following baptismal records all in Clough: Mary 1840 John 1841 John 1843 Mary 1845 Mary 1845 (September 15 and October 26) Anastasia 1848 Michael 1851 I listed the 1843 John baptismal transcription below. The townlands shown in the records varied some showed Chatsworth, others Cloneen and some Drury. Chatsworth and Cloneen are in Castlecomer civil parish. Not entirely sure which records belonged to which couple although I think the 1843 John relates to the 1842 marriage.
Civil registration did not begin until 1864.
Let me know what questions you have.
