Thomas Maguire son of Patrick Maguire and Bridget O’Donohoe

Unfortunately, the RC baptismal records for the RC parish of Kildallen (Ballyconnell) do not begin until January 1867 and marriage records start in 1859.

I checked the 1855 Griffiths Valuation records for Snugborough townland and there were no Maguire records. There were Maguire records in other parts of the civil parish (Tomregan) including a Patrick Maguire in Carrowmore townland.

I did not find any information in the Tithe records.

I did not find a good lead for a death record for Patrick Maguire. Civil registration of deaths started in 1864.

Thank you Roger. I had found the Griffiths valuations for 1856-1857 and saw Patrick Maguire there. He may well be Thomas’ Father. The shipping records for emigrants to Australia are very scant and there are many errors in ages and spelling so it’s a lot of guesswork from here. Would that record of Patrick show where his property is or was? I’m resigned to probably just photographing the areas  and any Church  building from the general area they originated. I will have the date for my arrival in the next couple of days and will fill out the form then
