Researching Thomas SHANAHAN and Bridget LUBY, married 13 Oct 1833 in Powerstown Roman Catholic Parish, Co Tipperary, Ireland.  Witnesses to the marriage were John LUBY and Bridget CONNORS.  

Children of Thomas SHANAHAN and Bridget LUBY are:  

• Denis Shanahan baptized 24 Aug 1834, Powerstown RC Parish, Co Tipperary; Sponsors:  Sponsors:  Rev. Edmund MAHER and Brigid CONNORS.  
• Margaret "Maggie" Anne SHANAHAN baptized by Rev. George BUTLER 03 Sep 1841 St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Parish, Limerick, Co Limerick, Ireland.  Sponsors:  Thomas BURCH and Catherine BURCH.  
• Michael William SHANAHAN born  29 Sep 1842 city of Limerick, Co Limerick, Ireland.  
• Thomas SHANAHAN, Jr. baptized by Rev. George BUTLER 10 Feb 1844 St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Parish, Limerick, Co Limerick, Ireland.  Sponsors:  Patt FOX and Honora PECKAM.  

Thomas SHANAHAN and his wife Briget LUBY both died in Co Limerick (probably the city of Limerick) bet. 1843 - 1856.  

Orphaned children were left in the care of a Grandmother - unknown if the grandmother was a SHANAHAN or a LUBY.  Youngest son Thomas SHANAHAN, Jr. accidentally drowned while in the care of this grandmother bet. 1844 - 1856 in the city of Limerick.  

Other three children immigrated to the U.S.A.  Descendants of Denis SHANAHAN (aka SHANNON) from the New York and New Jersey area all known; as well as all the descendants of Michael SHANAHAN (of Mississippi).  Sister Margaret "Maggie" Anne SHANAHAN known to have married at least twice:  (1st) Constantine PATZER in 1872 and (2nd) to James LYNCH in 1879.  Unknown if she had issue from either marriage.  Both marriages occured in Hudson County New Jersey.  Known to have lived until at least 1893.
