Timothy is found in the tithe roles of Killary and Newtown. Looking for ANY relationship information. I have the baptismal records for two children Daniel 1840, and Martin 1836, but missing older sibs Patrick and Bridget. The family left for Canada 1848. I suspect on a Spaight ship. Timothy was born abt 1776. I have nothing on Mary Lynch and it appears that this is not a common surname in this Parish. if anyone can provide me with additional clues I would appreciate it greatly. Cheers, Jerry OBrien

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
The RC records for Ballina parish start in 1832 which is likely why you can't find a record for Patrick and Bridget. I did find an 1834 baptismal record for a Darby O'Brien on the subscription site Roots Ireland.

Thank you Roger! Yes, Darby/Jeremiah is a connection that I have. Any thoughts or advice in my search for the parents, brothers etc. of Timothy.

My first thought would be the Tithes but you have already gone there. Church records are the best source but your parish does not start as early as you need. All the best with your research!

Hi Jerry!
I'm not local (I live in the USA) so I can't help with the O'Briens. Happy New Year!
