Hello!
I am attempting to break down some brick walls! My great, great grandmother, Mary Margaret Quick, was born in 1841 to Edward Quick and Mary O'Neil in Tipperary (?). She arrived in New York in 1859 and married Martin Halleran that same year. She died 5 Mar 1911 in Floral Park, NY.
I believe Martin Halleran may also have been from Tipperary. I have not been able to locate a parish of origin for either one of them.
Martin Halleran was born Jan 1834 to John Halleran and his wife, Bridget, in Ireland.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
Thank You,
Susie (Halleran) Pahrman

Susie:
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I searched on two subscription sites: Roots Ireland and FindMyPast and did not find a baptismal record for Mary Quick or any children of Edward Quick and Mary O'Neill. Likely she was baptized in a parish that no longer has records back to 1841.
I did find a possible lead for Martin Halleran. See transcription below from Roots Ireland.

County Tipperary was split into 2 Ridings North had the county town of Nenagh and South had the County towm of Clonmel. Thurles town was the dividing area.
All one County again now, Nenagh being the County town. (800 years old this year)
I hope has helped.
