Hi there,
I use few methods when looking into townlands
Placesnames of Galway http://places.galwaylibrary.ie/
http://places.galwaylibrary.ie/asp/fullresult.asp?id=22740
The Irish Times http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/fuses/townlands/index.cfm?fuseaction… clicking around the area of Dunmore will bring up Townlands
Google Maps...locating Dunmore and scroll around the general area head towns Tuam in one direction, Moylough in the other etc
1901 & 1911 census http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie and broarden your search to Tuam as DED or in General to Galway only
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Galway/Dunmore_South/
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Galway/Dunmore__North/
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Galway/Tuam_Rural/
wikiipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_townlands_of_County_Galway
Broaden search around Griffith Valuation keep it as general as possible also http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/index.xml
