Hello, if anyone is familiar with local placenames in southern Kilkenny, perhaps you can help me identify the locations of two placenames that appear in the Slieverue RC parish records. They are "Bridge" and "Raheen" (or in some cases noted as Ratheen or Raheens). I have searched old and new maps, as well as the John Grenham site of placenames with no results. Due to the context, I believe they would be somewhere in Kilculliheen civil parish. Thanks for any information you can provide.

  • In addition, there is a townland called Rathculliheen, which is in the civil parish of Kilculliheen, and also within the Catholic parish of Slieverue.  You can see more info about it, along with a map, at this link:
