I am searching my Walsh family for Joyce connections. I know the connection exists but I do not know how. My grandfather was John Walsh born 6/22/1899 in Rosmuc. His parents were Mary Conneely 2/23/1874-1935 and John Walsh 5/9/1866-1949. They were married on 1/27/1895.

John ( born 1866) was baptized in Rosmuc, parish Rosmuc, Diocese Galway and his parents were Patrick and Mary Mulkerns ( or Muturn?)

Thank you for any help.

    Michelle R,

The Walsh family appear to have been living in Lower Camus. The Baptismal Sponsors for John in 1899 were Patrick Joyce and Mary Coneely.

The problem is that there are many "Patrick Joyce" in the DED of Lettermore. If I find anything further I will Post it to you.

    Regards,

  • MichelleR,

Baptismal Sponsors for Honor and Mary Walsh were Patrick Joyce and Mary Coneely.

The 1901 Irish Census have a Pat Joyce residing at House No. 13, Camus Lower and a John Walsh residing at No. 16.

I did not find anything to connect the two families, other than they were near neighbours.,

    Best Wishes,
