A long line of Walters in the Amos family presenting difficulty. I need to know if Walter Amos (d. Feb 26 1878 buried in St. Nick's Galway) is the father of Walter Amos (b. 1847 Fivemiletown m. Eliza Simpson in Clogher Parish 1867).
We've had a brick wall at the younger Walter for many years and have searched for parents to no avail until this possibility came up. Any help most welcome.
Ultimately the descendants emigrated to Canada.

    Perhaps you could try and use Church records to establish a link between the two Walters. If you follow this link, it will take you to the Irishtimes website, where it shows you what Church records are available in Galway City parish:
