As you probably know, there are a number of Ward surnames in the directories of the period.
There is a Bernard Ward mentioned, whose details to be determined.
William Ward of Wardshill south St.Catherine's district ran the famous Brewery in the 1700s, which as commonly told was taken over rather ruthlessly by the Royalist, Arthur Guinness.
The surname Ward is also mentioned in the Rooke papers at the National Library of Ireland regarding some families of the Liberties, Coombe, and Cloth District Square, of St.Catherine's parish circa 1700 to 1800 plus or minus. John Ward is mentioned as being from New Ross Wexford. Elizabeth Ward and Elinor Ward are also prominantly mentioned, and some of their relatives.

We will be glad to hear if anyone else has ideas, and or how your research is progressing.
