Hi,

I have posted a townlands cross-reference table to show how the names change over the various records (in the Feakle Parish page).  I found the Parish Menu and Parish Members are on top of my table.  I put the introductory text above and added lots of line feeds to get the table to be past (below) the Parish Menu and Parish Members.  I'm not sure why the site should be be so limiting.  The site also stripped away the table grid and colors.  :-(

Could those two items be blanked when opening the extra uploads?

Also, I have seen the main page can be edited.  I did that to correct one typo.  Can we add links to the uploaded items (townlands, places of interest, history, etc.)?  Otherwise, it seems that all that content will just be hidden from the typical user.

I also noticed at least one change.  The Admins section is now Liason.  Changes are made with no notification?  Or am I missing this posted somewhere?

Are message such as this one visible to the users?  Is this the correct place/way to leave this type of message?

When I bookmark a message such as this, where are the links to those bookmarks?

When I click on My Messages, I don't understand why I don't see a list of all the messages I have ever responded to.

Thank you,

Jim McNamara

  • Hi Jim,

I'm having the same problems as you.  I can't find all the messages that I have replied to.  It's most frustrating.

There are a lot of people doing trojan work trying to help those overseas, but the website doesn't help to keep track of replies.  I thought it was me, and that somehow I was losing threads.

    Keep up the good work,

  • As far as keeping track of messages I have replied to, I print out the messages and my replies, which has a date and time time-stamp. I can then go down to that date/time location and open the original to see any other replied added after my reply. I can also search on the family name that's on my print-out.

I do agree that a better method could be added of telling me if someone replied after my reply. Your suggestions seem very helpful.

  • Hi Guys,

I click onto my account & then hit track & all the messages I have responded to come up & I can see new responses there, a number count is beside it.  Also there is a Ireland xo facebook page & there is some good info on there, which included a quick discussion about our name, I did feel that Parish Administrator implied that I had access to Parish records.

  • Hi Carmel,

Not sure what you mean by "hit track"

I do have a Messages (17) link and when I click it I get 0 messages.  Even the messages for my parish do not show up here.

    Thanks though,

    Jim McNamara

  • Hi Jim, I copied my page, can you see "Track" on this green line My Wall/Bookmarks/Track/About.  Underneath my parishes, this is where all my queries that I replied to come up.. & dont tick the notification box.   regards carmel

  • I would have to agree with previous comments. I find it difficult and cumbersome to track who and what I have replied to. Main headache is that you only get a couple of headers per page and in my case there are 22 pages. It would be better to get a complete list/screen of messages. One other "gripe" - can the web site  techs add a spell checker - save me having to cut and paste from Word?

I have never watched NECN (although I sure they did a great job) but Al Jazeera America is a great news organization, covering many things the US nba jersey cheap mainstream media don or at least with a different, more world view," she wrote.

  • Hi Carmel.

I had trouble to find this but do see it now.  I could not paste it at all here.  Thanks for the help.
