Would like to try to confirm this information and find out if the Anne Murtagh listed is related to Father Michael Murtagh of Dunleer. Elizabeth Rogers/Rodgers born 1800 married James Whearty born 1799. Elizabeth’s parents were Michael Rogers born 1766 and Anne Murtagh born 1767. Elizabeth was birn in Tullydonnell, Togher, County Louth. Thank you.

Hi D Ryan, I searched all the Murtaghs born in Louth between 1750 and 1790, your Anne came back in 1867 and two others in the 1760s, there were no Michaels born in Louth at this time on the records searched, a search of hte country found 5 Michaels born, one in Dublin in 1779, one in Westmeath in 1764, one in Meath and Westmeath in 1782 and finally one in Meath in 1790, records care not complete at this period even if they exist, there are 3 Murtagh children born to a Murtagh father and Maguire mother. Anne in 1767, Patrick 1764 and Mary in 1769.
The Archdiocese may have information on Michael Murtagh if you contact them in Armagh or locally, there should be I imagine records of ordination etc. The online record for Togher only start in 1791 in the Registers, https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0236
