Ballyduhig North is a townland about 5 miles south of Cork. A small part of the land I am interested in has been consumed by a runway of Cork airport. Been trying to trace ancestors (Sullivan) and wonder which parish register I should study? Period of interest is pre-1839, back as far as records exist. Have found a match in Douglas parish in 1830 and in South Parish (St Finbarrs) in 1839. Been thinking that the family may not have moved at all but went one way to baptise one child and another way with others. Ballyduhig North doesn't have a church and nearest appears either down near Ballygarvan or up towards Ballycurreen. Does anyone with Cork interests have knowledge and did the boundaries change over time?

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
Hopefully, a local Cork volunteer will comment but using Google Maps, I think the closest parish was Ballinhassig about six kilometers to the southwest of Ballyduhig North. Douglas was about eoght kilometers to the northeast and Carrigaline was nine kilometers to the southeast.
