Hi this is a long shot but my dad was John O’Connor he lived at Parkmore , main st , shanagolden, and we visited two years ago and there was nobody in. We are taking my dad home he is 90 and we wanted to see if we could visit his old house. Can anyone help me with this at all please

Sorry Ang - I have just seen your message about your dad's house; did your dad John O'Connor actually sell this property and if so can you tell me when? You say that you are taking him home, where is home now and I do hope that he is still well, 90 plus is a grand age and this current pandemic is quite nasty.
I am in a 5km lock down but I go regularly to Shanagolden and will be happy to find out what I can by calling, however meantime I have a good friend who looks after the heritage there, so I will speak to her and maybe she will know immediately
